Hi I'm Back, And I Brought My Fandoms With Me

Hi again, to my poor neglected flist.

I have no excuse for my lack of updating except that real life has been rather challenging for a while. Its only now that I feel in a place to start posting again. Heck, its been so long that I've even forgotten how to do some things on LJ. It's like I'm starting from the begining again. Please bare with me while I get my LJ sea legs back.

Since it has been such a long while, and because I also plan to friend quite a bit of people whose journals I've been lurking, if not posting on. I decided to create this list of fandom and ships that I'm most interested in now and will be talking the most about.

It is by no means comprehensive (horrifying I know), since I am and out, and proud fandom whore. It leans more to TV and movies, only hints at books, and doesn't even mention music (If I included my books and music preferences this list would be unending). Still, its long enough that anyone who comes to my journal will be able to tell if we have common interest. Furthermore anyone who wants to write me fic (you know who you are) won't have to go by just my interest, or tags to choose a fandom, and ship I'm interested in. What Are You Watching?


The fall TV season is here bringing not only returning favorites but a whole new crop of shows just begging to be adored (or heckled, I'm easy). My returning shows include Haven, Doctor Who, Scandal, Revenge, Once Upon A Time, Vampire Diaries, Nikita, and Supernatural. Although, since Cablevision is of the Devil I have not seen any of the new season of SPN. I have alternate ways of seeing VD, Nikita, and the other new CW shows, but SPN not so much. Did I mention how much I hate Cablevision?

New shows include Revolution (I don't care if it's the cleanest apocalypse ever, love it), Arrow, Beauty And The Beast, and Copper (Which is pretty much the opposite of Revolution being the dirtiest show on TV).

On the bubble is 666 Park Avenue.  I'm trying to connect to it since I loved Devil's Advocate and in theory this show has all the things I love. But so far I'm just not feeling it.

Already canceled is Mob Doctor because there's machoism and then there's straight up suicide by bad TV. Guess which side of the equation Mob Doctor falls on.

No, I'm not deserting LJ (I just got back), but I've had a Dreamwidth account for a while now, and figured it was time to actually use it. So Is Anyone Else Watching Copper?



I've been watching "Copper" on BBC America. After an OK first episode, in which I indulged my historical setting kink. The subsequent episodes have gotten better and better. Now that where past episode 4 I've been thinking about maybe recaping/reviewing it, but I wasn't sure if anyone else was watching on my flist. The show is helmed by Barry Levinson and Tom Fontana (who did OZ) and its first season is 10 episodes. There's a brief plot synopsis along with the promo behind the cut.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Just got finish opening gifts (we get up late on Christmas in my household). Just wanted to wish my flist a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a Fabulous New Year.

I Can't Believe I'm Considering Watching GH Again...Or Damn You Robin/Stone

So I had stopped watching GH known by its other moniker of Misogynistic!MobLoving!Character Killing!HeyWhatEverHappenedTo!Show. It was around the time that Robin was being sued by Patrick for parental rights on their unborn fetus while Anna basically cheered Patrick on. I realized that the blatant disrespect to women, character assassinations, and poor plotting was here to stay. The golden age of soaps was over and this is what was left. I could take it or leave it. I chose to leave it. Bid a sad hasta, and never looked back.

Fast forward to this year, and the evil one otherwise know as Berry kept spamming me with GH clips. I was weak and took a peek. Big mistake, since they were of Robin finding out that Patrick cheated on her, and the subsequent fall out. Robin was on fire. Heartbreaking one moment and full on BAMF the next. Patrick who I want to geld, actually made me feel a bit sorry for him. While Lisa is the the full on crazy yet extremely cunning stalker chick that Chloe from the Young and The Restless tried and failed to be. I might yet have managed to resist, if I hadn't heard about Stone making a 2 day special appearance. Checkmate! There's no way I'm not watching Robin/Stone reunite after all this time. Damn you Guza! You had me at Robin/Stone.
